Trainer Resume

Elizabeth has been interested in animal behavior for her entire life.  As a child, she grew up in the country-side surrounded by many different animals, including dogs, cats, cows, pigs and horses, which taught her to appreciate the unique personalities that all animals have to offer.  Elizabeth initially approached learning about dog training and behavior as a hobby.  While attending college, Elizabeth briefly worked as an assistant trainer at K9 Ponderosa.  After obtaining an initial bachelor’s degree in history at The Ohio State University, she chose to pursue a degree in nursing at Kennesaw State University, during which time she began to see dog training as more than a hobby.  While completing her nursing education, Elizabeth apprenticed as a dog trainer at Comprehensive Pet Therapy in Atlanta, Georgia, working with distinguished trainer Mark Spivak.  Elizabeth learned to train obedience, behavior modification, agility, and many other types of training specific to client needs.  She has recently relocated to Soda Springs, Idaho and hopes to continue sharing her love for dog training with others.

Pictured above are Elizabeth’s dogs, Duke and Buck.  Elizabeth has trained both of them in on and off leash obedience and agility, and is currently working with them to develop their skills in draft work, tracking, cani-cross, ski-joring, and is continuing to improve their off-leash obedience.
